Secondary recrystallization characteristics of 3%Si grain-oriented electrical steel

چکیده
A secondary recrystallization Lab study focusing on the secondary recrystallization temperature and magnetic properties was carried out on cold rolling industrial samples of 3%Si grain-oriented electrical steel produced by low slab reheating temperature technology. The results showed a secondary recrystallization temperature, determined by the observed grain size change, of 1080 C with annealing interruption and of 1060 C in annealing for 50 h at constant temperature. In addition, the best set of magnetic properties, the higher induction and the lower core loss values, was achieved by annealing the samples during 50 h at 1070 C constant temperature. © 2018 Brazilian Metallurgical, Materials and Mining Association. EFFECT OF SECOND PHASE PARTICLES TOPOLOGY ON THE ONSET TEMPERATURE OF ABNORMAL GRAIN GROWTH IN Fe - 3%Si STEELS
Electrical steels are undoubtedly the most important soft magnetic materials in use today. Applications vary in quantities from the few ounces used in small relays or pulse transformers to tons used in generators, motors, and transformers. There are two principal types of electrical steels: grain oriented and non-oriented steels. The grain oriented (GO) electrotechnical steel sheets are widely ...
متن کاملMechanism of secondary recrystallization of Goss grains in grain-oriented electrical steel
Since its invention by Goss in 1934, grain-oriented (GO) electrical steel has been widely used as a core material in transformers. GO exhibits a grain size of over several millimeters attained by secondary recrystallization during high-temperature final batch annealing. In addition to the unusually large grain size, the crystal direction in the rolling direction is aligned with <001>, which is ...
متن کاملKinetics of Secondary Recrystallization in Grain-oriented Silicon Steel Studied by High-temperature Background
Secondary recrystallization id grain-oriented silicon steel is studied by the high-temperature background damping. Abnormal grain growth involves an abrupt drop of the background. The temperatures of initiation and completion of the secondary recrystallization are, thus, determined for the sane sample from the definite change in background with increasing temperature. The background measured on...
متن کاملStudy of Secondary Recrystallization in Grain-oriented Steel Treated under Dynamical Heat Treatment Conditions
Grain oriented silicon steel (GO) is mainly used as the core material in transformers, and it is the only product manufactured in the steel industry that applies the secondary recrystallization phenomenon. Its magnetic properties are closely related to the secondary recrystallization texture, i.e., the sharpness of 110 (001), Goss texture 1 . This sharp texture develops due to a discontinuous o...
متن کاملThe Effect of Cold Rolling Process on the Microstructure and Texture Evolution in a 1 wt. % Si Non-oriented Electrical Steel
In this study, the effect of cold rolling process on the microstructure and texture evolution in 1wt. % Si non-oriented electrical steel was investigated. For this purpose, all samples were processed through single-stage hot rolling at 1100 ° C and two-stage cold rolling (cross rolling and unidirectional rolling) with intermediate annealing at 650 °C for 35 seconds. Finally, all of them were fu...
